The 8^th ISFR 2015 will be hosted by the city of Leoben, which is located in the centre of the Autrian province Styria. This 25 000- inhabitant city is famous for its long history in mining and metallurgy and for Motanuniversität Leoben. Scenically, Leoben is dominated by the surrounding mountains and the river Mur. The climate expects  20 - 35 °C in summer time (June, July, August) and  10 - (-10) °C in winter time (December, January, February) accompanied by snow fall. Leoben is easily accessible by train from Vienna airport and also Graz airport.
